Who We Are

About Nsobola

Our Roots

From one coop to 462 villages

Nsobola Agro Ventures was born from a simple truth: a single mother with a poultry coop and veterinary support can break the cycle of poverty.

Founded in 2016 by Dr. Richard Bwanika, we now operate across 462 villages. Our name means “I can” in Luganda—the mantra of every woman we serve.

“I started with 25 chicks. Now I have 200, my children are in school... Nsobola means I can.”

— Nakato Grace, Nakaseke

Dr. Richard & the team

Our co-founders: a veterinarian, a community developer, and five regional coordinators—all women. Every coop is visited weekly by a trained paravet to ensure health and knowledge sharing.
